About the product

The KHC automation kit brings together, in a single set, all the components required for the automatic control of a mixing chamber. Its purpose is to precisely regulate the operation of the heating and ventilation system and to protect the installation against freezing.

The central component of the kit is the mixing chamber controller, which manages the operation of the entire system — the MC series mixing chamber, the HC series unit heater, and optionally the STORM series roof fan. The controller makes decisions based on data from a set of four temperature sensors, installed downstream of the unit heater, on the return, in the room, and outdoors.

Physical regulation of the air mixing ratio is handled by a 0-10 V damper actuator with spring return, which automatically adjusts the operation of the mixing chamber dampers to current needs. System safety is ensured by a capillary thermostat — a frost-protection component that monitors the air temperature downstream of the unit heater and signals if it drops below the set value.
