Modern HUMMER industrial door air curtains are devices that effectively prevent the escape of valuable heat in winter and the intrusion of dust, insects and hot air in summer. They perform well in demanding industrial facilities such as warehouses, production halls, logistics centres, workshops and large-format garages. The series offers three variants: cold HUMMER C, LPHW HUMMER W and electric HUMMER E, matched to the installation available on site.

HUMMER C-EC
Cold air curtain without a heater. Acts like an extremely powerful industrial fan. An excellent choice for cold stores and warehouses — it keeps the cold in and protects against heat, insects and dust from outside.
HUMMER W-1P/EC
A classic and extremely efficient curtain with a water heat exchanger connected to the central heating system. It heats the incoming air, improving comfort for employees working near an open door. Ideal for production halls, warehouses and workshops.

Which variant to choose?
HUMMER C (Cold)
Separation of climate zones without raising the temperature. Dedicated to cold stores and facilities where an effective barrier against dust and insects is required. The highest airflow capacity in the series.
HUMMER W (Water-based)
Effective heating of the entrance zone at the lowest operating costs. Requires an available central heating (C.H.) system. Recommended for production halls, warehouses and workshops with access to system hot water.
HUMMER E (Electric)
Heating of the entrance zone without the need to connect to a water system. Requires a 400 V power supply. Recommended for facilities without central heating and buildings with their own power generation (e.g. photovoltaics).

Definitely. For years, logistics facilities were dominated by standard PVC sheeting, PVC doors or traditional strip curtains. Modern air curtains are an ideal solution because they create a non-contact, highly effective air barrier. This invisible wall handles adverse weather conditions and sudden inflows of cold air with ease.
In modern industry, air curtains protect against an uncontrolled rise in heating costs, while ensuring smooth traffic flow in the hall or warehouse. Even the harshest weather conditions cannot break through the strong barrier stream.
For industrial doors of above-standard dimensions, the key issue is achieving coverage of the door's entire width or height. For this reason, two mounting variants are used for HUMMER industrial curtains:
The first mounting variant is horizontal air curtains, where several units are installed in a row above the door. Keep in mind that the door height must not exceed the curtain's maximum range.
The second mounting variant, often recommended for large doors, is vertical air curtains. With vertical mounting, the units are arranged in a vertical column.
Production halls commonly use devices fitted with heating elements – usually supplied with water from the central heating system. They use a copper-aluminium heat exchanger that draws hot water from the building's heating installation to warm the passing air. Choosing models with a water heat exchanger connected to the building's heating network has a direct impact on the thermal comfort of people in the entrance zone.
This is helped by automated shut-off of the heating water supply using two-way or three-way actuated valves (which we recommend). This allows the temperature to be effectively stabilised while consuming less energy, without the risk of the company's budget being burdened with additional heating costs.
Conversely, "cold" models, which deliberately lack a heater or water heat exchanger, function solely as a barrier.
Yes. HUMMER E models use special PTC-type electric heaters. This guarantees safety without the risk of ignition. Even at low room temperature and very high supply air speeds, thermal comfort will be improved at the entrance for people entering the building.
Achieving optimal results and maximum protection at the door requires the correct adjustment of the air stream. Air louvres (or precise directional air louvres) allow the airflow to be optimally directed, with an adjustment range of up to 15°.
Yes. Although air curtains fitted with a heating element improve the comfort of people passing beneath them by heating the entrance zone, even cold models are equally effective at preventing heat from escaping the interior. Their key operating principle is space separation. When correctly installed in the right position, they create a barrier against incoming wind from outside. Using any type of curtain – whether with an electric heater or so-called cold models – is absolutely necessary in the annual balance to prevent the loss of warm air and heat losses in entrance zones.
