Extractor fans FR-BS
The FR-BS series of industrial extractor fans are professional devices designed for effective air circulation in halls and large facilities. They perform well in large-area industrial and warehouse buildings, where fast and trouble-free air exchange is essential for process continuity. The series is available in two Motor variants: a traditional AC motor and an energy-efficient EC motor with stepless speed control.

Which variant to choose?
FR-BS (AC motor)
The optimal choice when the initial purchase cost plays a key role, the fan will operate in an on/off system at fixed speed, and the facility has no advanced digital HVAC automation.
FR-BS EC (EC motor)
Low running costs and precise control. Recommended when you want to reduce your electricity bills, need stepless speed control, or plan to integrate with a building management system (BMS).
FR-BS EC-EE (new EC motor)
A new, more energy-efficient version of the EC motor introduced for compliance with the EU ErP 2026 standard. Even lower energy consumption and higher efficiency. Recommended when you want to reduce your electricity bills, need stepless speed control, or plan to integrate with a building management system (BMS).
A new generation of EC fans
FR industrial fans with an EC motor have for years proven themselves as an energy-efficient alternative to classic AC Motors, offering stepless output control from 0 to 100%. EC-EE is a further step towards energy efficiency — the same control method as the EC series, but with a smaller motor and impeller designed for efficient air handling, achieving high airflow with lower power consumption. At a similar output, EC-EE draws roughly 25% to over 60% less power than a standard EC.
Who is EC-EE for, and who is EC for?
EC-EE is designed primarily for general ventilation and installations with low to moderate flow resistance. It works well as an energy-efficient, quiet and productive solution. Where the installation requires stable operation across a wider pressure range (higher flow resistance), standard EC fans with larger, more powerful motors remain the better choice. Choosing the right series should therefore be based not only on energy savings but also on the characteristics of the installation the fan will serve.
What do you gain with the FR-BS series fans?
Simple, trouble-free installation — square mounting plate for a wall opening
Installers value our fans for their convenience. The fan housing is fitted with a special square mounting plate, enabling quick, direct installation into a dedicated wall opening. In practice, this shortens installation time and later servicing work.
Protecting the installation with dedicated accessories — a Gravity shutter protecting the outlet system
A dedicated Gravity shutter, mounted at duct ends, is available for both AC and EC models. It protects the building from air being drawn back in, wind chill and rainfall, sealing the system when the fan is not running.
Protecting your budget — long-term savings regardless of the chosen variant
Investing in the FR-BS series guarantees long-term savings, regardless of the variant chosen. Classic AC models offer great value for money and reliable operation, while EC versions reduce electricity bills thanks to stepless power control. In both cases, the steel construction with a high motor protection rating minimises the risk of mechanical failure.

When choosing industrial fans for large-volume facilities, the right performance and equipment reliability are essential. Our FR-BS series wall-mounted extractor fan reaches an airflow of up to 20 000 m³/h, and the EC motor version reaches as much as 21 480 m³/h. Such performance in high-power models guarantees effective air exchange, matched to strict technical requirements. The robust steel housing contributes to overall safety and the continuity of production processes.
FR-BS EC models are fitted with brushless motors, which increases their efficiency and extends their service life. They offer a very wide range of stepless speed control (0-100%). This flexibility translates into lower power consumption when the fan runs at lower speeds and higher efficiency compared with AC motors. Higher energy efficiency also means greater investment security, significantly reducing installation running costs.
Choose the EC series if:
You want to reduce your facility's annual electricity bills.
You need the flexibility that stepless speed control provides.
An AC motor solution will be optimal for you if:
You're looking for a budget solution where the initial purchase cost plays a key role.
Your fan will operate in an on/off system at a fixed speed and will not need precise positioning of extraction power.
The facility has no advanced digital HVAC automation.
The choice depends on the building's architecture and the specifics of the installation. Wall-mounted industrial extractor fans in a square frame (FR-BS) are installed in a dedicated opening in a building partition.
Roof fans (e.g. the STORM series), on the other hand, are used where the building's structure requires vertical air discharge or there is no room on the external facade. Both series guarantee unwavering performance for demanding industrial applications.
For mechanical ventilation to work flawlessly, we recommend fitting the FR-BS series industrial extractor fan with a dedicated GS Gravity shutter, protecting the outer side of the outlet opening on the facade. It prevents cold air from being drawn back in and protects against rain, increasing the safety and service life of the entire installation. In addition, precise HMI EC controllers for brushless models allow the device's output to be monitored continuously. Maximum performance and safe operation are the foundation of Reventon's solutions.
