Duct fans FR-DF Series
FR-DF series duct fans (also known in the industry as centrifugal fans) are reliable devices designed for direct installation in ventilation ducts. They are designed to effectively move air over longer distances, performing excellently in smaller warehouses, shops, workshops and production spaces, as well as in commercial premises and single-family homes (e.g. kitchens and bathrooms).
FR-DF duct fan
In this category we offer a proven, highly optimised series of devices, designed to handle demanding ventilation systems.
FR-DF
A robust solution designed for small and medium-volume facilities, as part of a ventilation installation system. Fitted with an integrated mounting bracket and connection spigots, as well as thermal motor protection up to 150°C. Can operate as a supply or extractor fan.
FR-DF EC
A centrifugal duct fan with an EC motor for ventilation systems in commercial, production and warehouse facilities. Stepless output control via a 0-10 V control signal allows the device's operation to be matched to current demand.

Why choose
the FR-DF duct fans?
High available static pressure guarantees significantly higher air-moving performance through long and complex duct systems compared with standard axial fans.
The universal design allows the device to work as both a supply and an extractor fan, eliminating the need to install two different models.
Built-in thermal protection safeguards the motor against exceeding a temperature of 150°C, increasing the safety of the entire installation.
An airflow performance from 250 m³/h to 1 770 m³/h allows a device to be matched to facilities of different scales, from a single room to larger duct systems.
An IP44 and IP54 motor protection rating provides protection against dust and water splashes, while the durable galvanised steel housing protects against corrosion.
Technical parameter comparison
| Parameter | FR-DF | FR-DF EC |
|---|---|---|
| Maximum airflow [m³/h] | 680 m³/h | 1 770 m³/h |
| Voltage [V/Hz] | 230/50 | 230/50 |
| Power [W] | 100 | 240 |
| Weight [kg] | 3 - 4,5 | 2,3 - 5,8 |
| IP rating | IP44 | IP54 |
| Noise level [dB] | 63 to 65 | 72 to 78 |
What do you gain with the FR-DF series fans?
Exceptionally simple and fast installation — integrated mounting bracket and connection spigots
Every duct fan in this series is factory-fitted with an integrated mounting bracket and matching connection spigots. This allows the device to be connected instantly into round ventilation ducts and the whole structure to be suspended securely, reducing installation time to a minimum.
Protecting your budget — galvanised steel, 150°C thermal protection and low power consumption
The galvanised steel housing effectively protects against degradation, while integrated thermal protection up to 150°C prevents permanent motor damage in the event of overload. The models offer an excellent ratio of power draw (from as little as 67 W) to generated pressure, optimising the facility’s ongoing energy costs.
Versatility of application — operation as supply or extract, from domestic rooms to industrial facilities
The FR-DF fan can be installed at any point in an installation, working equally effectively to assist supply air or extract stale air. It performs well in commercial premises (warehouses, shops, workshops), industrial rooms, and single-family homes (kitchens, bathrooms, toilets), where, hidden inside the duct, it does not disturb the interior’s aesthetics.

The choice depends primarily on the system's design. A standard axial fan moves huge volumes of air, but does so effectively only at low installation resistance. A duct fan (with a centrifugal design, like the FR-DF model) is, in fact, built to work against high air resistance. If your building requires long ducts with multiple bends, elbows or dampers, the higher available static pressure and performance of the FR-DF fan will guarantee proper air exchange even at the very end of the network.
Every model in the FR-DF series has an integrated mounting bracket, enabling secure and stable installation directly in round ventilation ducts. The device can be installed at any point in the system, working equally effectively as a fan supporting supply air or extracting stale air from demanding spaces (e.g. bathrooms or workshops).
Definitely yes. These products are often used in various industrial facilities, and their use in homes or flats is equally beneficial. Their main task in a room with a higher risk of contamination (such as toilets, kitchen areas or bathrooms) is to effectively remove stale air along with related nuisances such as excess moisture and unpleasant odours. Because this equipment is installed deep inside ventilation ducts, it remains completely hidden, without disturbing the interior's aesthetics. Such a fan, hidden in the ductwork, best isolates noise from areas where household members spend time.
Thanks to their robust galvanised steel housing, FR-DF devices offer high resistance to corrosion. The IP44 rating safeguards the motor against solid objects larger than 1 mm in diameter and against water splashes from any direction. In addition, thermal protection cuts off power once a critical temperature of 150°C is exceeded, protecting your investment from damage.
Yes, the modern motor in the FR-DF series allows trouble-free operation with external speed controllers. Our range includes various sizes (each with its own unique designation depending on the variant). Each is designed to connect to ductwork with a different connection diameter. Because installation design requirements vary greatly, key parameters such as power and performance should always be matched to the individual needs of the building. See the comparison table above to make sure which solution will meet the specifics of your conditions.
