Destratification fan
TORNADO

The TORNADO EC industrial destratification fan is an efficient unit for recirculating warm air in high-ceilinged facilities — production halls, warehouses and logistics centres. Fitted with an EC motor and a powder-coated steel construction, it brings the heat accumulated under the ceiling back down to the occupied zone.

Airflow 2 300 – 8 800 m³/h
Vertical reach up to 14,5 m
IP rating IP54
Housing powder-coated steel

What do you gain with the TORNADO destratification fan?

High performance and vertical reach up to 14,5 m

TORNADO EC delivers an airflow of up to 8 800 m³/h, giving a vertical jet reach of up to 14,5 m. In practice, this means effective removal of accumulated heat even in facilities with the highest ceilings, where standard destratification fans lose effectiveness. Six available sizes make it possible to precisely match performance to the building volume — without oversizing for smaller halls and without any performance limitations in the largest facilities.

Proven EC motor and simple operation

Reliable technology with predictable performance

The unit is Motorn by an EC motor with IP54 protection — a proven, maintenance-free technology that has powered industry for years. Control is via a manual thermostat, a speed controller or a programmable HMI SINGLE BMS controller, depending on the scale of the installation and the requirements of the facility. The absence of advanced electronics translates into a lower purchase cost and simpler diagnostics during maintenance.

Installation-ready construction

Integrated mounting holes and stud suspension

The cylindrical housing, impeller and diffuser are made entirely of powder-coated steel, providing resistance to dust, moisture and accidental mechanical impact typical of warehouse conditions. Mounting holes integrated into the housing allow the unit to be suspended directly on threaded rods, without the need for additional brackets. The construction is also compatible with the Z-type suspension bracket, which reduces vibration transmitted to the ceiling.

FAQ

Choosing the right industrial destratification fan should be based on three parameters: room volume, ceiling height, and the planned number of units operating in parallel. TORNADO is available in six sizes (XS1–XS6) — the smaller ones (XS1, XS2) work well with 6–8 m ceilings, the medium ones (XS3, XS4) in facilities with 9–11 m ceilings, and the largest (XS5, XS6) in halls with 12–14,5 m ceilings and significant volumes. For a reliable selection, we recommend a technical consultation that also takes into account the facility's layout and the location of heat sources.

The TORNADO industrial destratification fan is equipped with a modern EC motor that combines high energy efficiency with stepless speed control. This makes it easy to match the unit's output to the size of the facility, the height of the hall and current operating conditions, resulting in optimal comfort and lower energy consumption.

For typical installations, the manual thermostat HC is sufficient — it automatically switches the unit on once the set temperature under the ceiling is exceeded and switches it off once the heat distribution in the facility has been effectively equalised. If speed control is required (e.g. to reduce noise in air-circulation maintenance mode), a programmable HMI EC BMS controller or an EC potentiometer should be selected. In larger installations with several units operating in parallel, the manual thermostat HC works best.

TThe powder-coated steel housing is resistant to moisture and dust build-up, but the IP54-rated motor is not designed for a direct pressurised water jet. Under typical industrial conditions, periodic cleaning of the blades and housing from dust deposits is recommended, without using pressure washers. In facilities with extreme dust levels or a requirement for regular pressure washing, it is worth considering alternative technical solutions — our support team will help you select the right unit.

Weight and dimensions vary significantly between sizes — from 6,2 kg and a diameter of 415 mm for XS1 to 23,5 kg and a diameter of 705 mm for XS6. Detailed data for each size can be found in the "Models and parameters" table above. When selecting a unit, it is worth taking into account the load-bearing capacity of the ceiling it will be mounted on — especially for the largest sizes.

Noise level increases with unit size and ranges from 64,7 dB (XS1) to 75,8 dB (XS5) at full speed. In facilities with high ceilings, the noise level perceived in the working zone is significantly lower due to the distance from the sound source. If quieter operation is required, an EC potentiometer can be used to reduce the motor speed. However, it should be noted that this also reduces the unit's reach.

TORNADO EC is not connected directly to a heat source. The destratification fan's main function is not to generate heat but to redistribute it within the facility — bringing warm air from under the ceiling back down to the occupied zone. The unit works indirectly with every heating system, including installations powered by heat pumps. Regardless of the heat source, the result is efficient heating of the facility with reduced heat loss through the roof, which translates into real savings in the heating cost balance.

Periodic cleaning of the impeller blades and housing from dust deposits is recommended, which maintains nominal airflow performance. Due to the unit being installed at height, it is advisable to plan maintenance work together with other servicing tasks at the facility.
