Heat recovery unit VERTIC
The VERTIC heat/energy recovery unit is a vertical ventilation unit enabling mechanical ventilation with heat recovery, or with heat and moisture recovery (depending on the exchanger used). The unit is designed for installation inside residential buildings, halls, storage facilities, commercial premises, and other facilities. It is particularly well suited to places requiring floor or wall mounting, or e.g. installation above a washing machine or in a cupboard under the stairs. The unit can be equipped with a counter-flow polystyrene exchanger or a polyethylene-graphene enthalpy exchanger.
About the product
VERTIC is a vertical ventilation unit with heat recovery — or heat and moisture recovery, depending on the exchanger used — designed for places where standard ceiling installation is not possible. The vertical design allows the unit to be mounted on the floor, on a wall, above a washing machine, or in a cupboard under the stairs, making it an ideal solution for residential buildings and rooms with limited space.
Energy recovery is provided by a counter-flow exchanger with a heat recovery efficiency of up to 90% and moisture recovery of up to 78%, available in a polystyrene version (heat recovery) or a polyethylene-graphene ENTHALPY version (heat and moisture recovery). Two energy-saving EC fans with 5-speed control and a capacity from 80 to 500 m³/h ensure quiet and efficient operation.
The powder-coated steel housing ensures durability, and access to the filters and the exchanger is obtained simply by removing the cover itself. The unit is equipped with an automatic bypass, two built-in control panels, three G4 filters, and a humidity sensor — optionally also a CO₂ sensor, an intelligent control panel, and an F7 filter. Energy class „A” allows the unit to meet the requirements of the „Clean Air” programme.

Why choose the VERTIC energy recovery unit?
ENTHALPY exchanger — heat recovery with moisture recovery
The enthalpy exchanger for the VERTIC energy recovery unit is made of a special polyethylene material with a graphene layer. Thanks to it, the unit additionally recovers moisture, increasing room comfort.
Both exchangers for the vertical ventilation unit have the same efficiency and lifespan, and can be cleaned using water and a pH-neutral detergent.
Intelligent operation of the unit
The unit features energy-saving EC fans with a wide range of operation control (4 programmable speeds + a 5th BOOST speed). It has 2 built-in control panels — the first on the front of the unit, offering quick access, and the second inside the unit, enabling the fan speeds to be programmed.
Control the unit from anywhere in the world
Energy recovery units can be equipped with a Wi-Fi module* enabling control via a smartphone. Simply pair the unit with the dedicated Smart Life app to gain access to the control of all functions: fan speeds, indoor air temperature, and also — if the appropriate sensors have been connected — CO₂ and humidity data.

Defrosting mode or duct heater?
The vertical unit features a defrosting mode, which activates when the outdoor air temperature drops below -5°C. However, to ensure the highest performance of the unit, it is recommended to use a duct pre-heater — especially when temperatures drop below -9°C, to avoid freezing of the exchanger.
The pre-heater warms the air entering the unit, increasing recovery efficiency and reducing the risk of damage to the exchanger.
Filter set for the VERTIC energy recovery unit
Ensure the effective and hygienic operation of your energy recovery unit with properly selected filters. For every VERTIC unit, we offer a ready-made set of 3 G4 pre-filters. Their size varies depending on the application: bypass, supply, or exhaust. Optionally, an F7 supply-air filter is also available for more demanding spaces.
G4 filters offer an ISO coarse ≥60% protection level. The F7 filter offers an ISO ePM1 ≥50% protection level for more demanding spaces.

The VERTIC unit can be installed in a standing position in rooms where condensate drainage is possible, on a wall — low, or e.g. above a washing machine — or built in, e.g. in a kitchen, bathroom, or basement. However, the required service access must be maintained, proper condensate drainage must be ensured, and the requirements regarding the unit's operating conditions must be met, including protection against excessive humidity, dust, and water beyond the unit's permitted IP rating.
The type of exchanger in the ventilation unit does not affect electricity consumption. However, a clear energy saving can be noticed in winter. Building heating costs can be lower thanks to effective heat recovery. In summer, heat recovery works differently. The unit's automation activates the bypass so that the supply air bypasses the heat exchanger, preventing the room from heating up.
The duct heater, otherwise known as a pre-heater, features a temperature sensor that can be freely adjusted. The sensor will automatically turn the duct heater on and off upon exceeding the appropriate (set) temperature. It is recommended that the duct heater turns on below -9°C of the detected outdoor temperature to avoid freezing of the enthalpy exchanger and support energy recovery ventilation in the rooms.
By default, VERTIC units are equipped with a standard counter-flow exchanger enabling heat recovery. An ENTHALPY version is also available, with a counter-flow exchanger enabling heat and moisture recovery.

Yes, heat recovery ventilation is one of the most effective solutions for improving the life comfort of allergy sufferers. Traditional airing of a house through open windows lets in not only dust, but also troublesome plant pollen, fungal spores, or smog. In a mechanical ventilation system, the entire supply air stream is constantly filtered. The ventilation unit can be equipped with very fine F7 or F9 class supply-air filters (available as an option, among others, in the INSPIRO and VERTIC series). They trap most micro-pollutants, including suspended particulates (PM2.5, PM10) and troublesome allergens, creating a safe zone at home with clean, healthy air all year round.
What's more, heat recovery ventilation effectively removes excess moisture, which prevents the formation of mould and fungi in rooms.
