POLISH PRODUCT LPHW unit heater FARMER Series
Industrial LPHW unit heaters from the FARMER series are specialised devices designed from the ground up to operate in aggressive environments, where a high concentration of dust, ammonia and acidic vapours eliminates standard heating solutions. They are perfectly suited for livestock buildings (cowsheds, piggeries, poultry houses), greenhouses and facilities with strict sanitary requirements (car washes, wastewater treatment plants), guaranteeing the maintenance of the appropriate temperature, reliable operation and a long lifespan in the harshest operating conditions.
Select a FARMER unit heater variant
Within the FARMER series, there are two models available, allowing for precise adaptation of the casing design to the specific characteristics of the facility.
HCF
A lightweight, resilient EPP casing that facilitates suspended installation. Available with a 3-speed AC induction motor (IP54) or in a version with increased leak tightness featuring a 1-speed motor (IP66) for safe washing with water.
3.87 – 66.2 kW
up to 5,000 m³/h
6.6 – 22.4 kW
OpenAir
A casing made of laminated panels protected with a gelcoat, reinforced with an opening aluminium frame. The design provides direct access to the heat exchanger and is dedicated to facilities with extreme concentrations of pollutants. Comes standard with a 360° diffuser.
7.5 – 88.1 kW
4,500 – 5,100 m³/h
7.6 – 22.7 kW

Why should you use
LPHW unit heaters in the FARMER series?
The GOLD epoxy anti-corrosion coating on the heat exchanger effectively resists acids, ammonia and high humidity, significantly extending the lifespan of the unit.
The IP66 rating enables safe washing of the casing.
Copper-aluminium heat exchangers guarantee full compatibility with heat pumps, effectively heating the facility even with lower heating medium parameters.
Two functions in one: heating in winter and cooling support in summer (using chilled water), protecting animals from heat stress and improving working conditions in dusty halls.
Two casing designs to choose from, EPP or laminate with an opening aluminium frame, allow the unit to be adapted to the conditions of the facility.

Which variant to choose?
FARMER HCF
Standard livestock facilities and agricultural industry (piggery heating). Lightweight EPP casing, simple wall or suspended installation, choice of IP rating (IP54 or IP66) adapted to the facility’s conditions.
FARMER OpenAir
Facilities with extreme dust levels and strict sanitary requirements. An opening aluminium frame, wider fin spacing and a built-in diffuser provide easy cleaning and even air distribution during ceiling installation.
What are the benefits of FARMER series unit heaters?
Anti-corrosion protection of the heat exchanger during piggery heating and in other chemically aggressive facilities
The GOLD epoxy coating protects the copper-aluminium heat exchanger from oxidation caused by ammonia vapours and moisture, significantly extending the lifespan of the unit. Additionally, the OpenAir model features wider fin spacing, which prevents the system from clogging quickly in a dusty environment and facilitates washing.
Maintaining strict sanitary conditions: washing with water and full access to the interior
Motors with an IP66 rating enable the safe washing of the casing with water. The OpenAir model additionally features an opening aluminium frame, providing operators with full access to the interior to quickly rinse out accumulated pollutants.
Cooling support in summer: lowering the temperature and protection against heat stress
Connecting FARMER unit heaters to a chilled water system enables the cooling of the air in the facility, which is particularly important in livestock buildings, where it protects the herds from heat stress. For the process to run correctly, a dedicated drip tray must be installed, which is responsible for safely capturing condensate from the surface of the heat exchanger.
FAQ
No, using pressure washers is not recommended in order not to damage the heat exchanger fins. The unit can be safely cleaned with water in the case of the variant with an IP66 rated motor (FARMER HCF IP66 and FARMER OpenAir). An appropriate distance of the water jet must be maintained to avoid damaging the heat exchanger fins.
OpenAir is a solution recommended for facilities with high dust levels (e.g. poultry houses, carpentry shops) where frequent and thorough cleaning is necessary. The wider fin spacing and the opening aluminium frame significantly facilitate this process, and the built-in diffuser makes the unit ideal for ceiling installation.
Yes, the heat exchangers in the FARMER series effectively transfer heat even with lower supply water parameters, which are characteristic of systems with heat pumps. Operation with such a source requires precise calculation of parameters. Our technical department verifies the unit selection free of charge.
When supplied with chilled water, moisture from the air condenses on the cooled heat exchanger. To prevent condensate from entering the working environment, the system must be retrofitted with drip trays available in our accessories range. The installation of a tray is possible on units installed in a wall-mounted position.
No. The unit heaters can be supplied with water or a glycol solution at the appropriate pressure. Water pressure that is too low can negatively affect the heating capacity of the unit heaters and their overall efficiency.
You should check the connection to the electrical system and ensure that the unit heater is connected to the mains according to the provided wiring diagrams.
Both FARMER HCF variants have been designed for resistance to harsh conditions, but they differ in the motor's IP rating. The IP54 version works well in facilities with standard dust levels and a low risk of contact with water. The IP66 variant provides complete protection against dust ingress and water with a flow rate of up to 100 l/min. This is a solution for facilities with strict sanitary requirements where the unit is washed regularly.
Yes. Expanded polypropylene (EPP) used in the HCF casing is characterised by high resistance to moisture, ammonia vapours and mechanical impact, which translates into the long-term durability of the unit in livestock environments. The GOLD epoxy coating on the heat exchanger additionally protects against corrosion, ensuring that the unit heater efficiently carries out the heating of a piggery, cowshed or poultry house even during continuous operation in a chemically aggressive atmosphere. Detailed operating parameters and permissible concentrations of chemical substances are specified in the technical documentation.
Yes. The FARMER series is one of the most frequently chosen solutions for greenhouses and polytunnels. Rapid heating of large volumes, high heating capacity (up to 88.1 kW) and resistance to increased humidity ensure that the units maintain a stable temperature in the cultivation room regardless of outdoor conditions. The ability to operate with chilled water during the summer period additionally allows for reducing the risk of plant overheating.
The GOLD epoxy coating is a specialised anti-corrosion protection for the heat exchanger, significantly more durable than standard coatings used in general-purpose unit heaters. Resistance to ammonia vapours, acids and high humidity extends the lifespan of the unit, which directly translates into savings resulting from less frequent replacements. The maintained patency of the fins keeps the nominal heating energy consumption at a constant level throughout the entire operating period. A longer heat exchanger lifespan means real savings in the multi-year cost balance of the facility.
