Industrial fans

Industrial fans

Extractor, axial, roof and duct fans

Industrial fans are reliable units that ensure effective replacement of stale air in large halls and warehouses. They protect critical equipment (e.g. refrigeration units) and plant rooms from overheating, and maintain the appropriate indoor climate to support production processes and the safe working conditions of personnel. Our range includes four types of fan matched to different installation types and mounting locations.

Why invest in professional ventilation?

Effective air exchange in large facilities — airflow matched to the volume of the hall or warehouse

Industrial fans ensure continuous replacement of stale air in large halls and warehouses, eliminating the build-up of contaminants, dust and excess moisture. Four available series make it possible to match the technology to the specific characteristics of the building — from wall-mounted extract fans for production spaces to roof fans that discharge air directly to the outside.

Protection of equipment and plant rooms — preventing critical equipment from overheating

Efficient ventilation protects critical industrial equipment (e.g. refrigeration units, transformers) and plant rooms (e.g. server rooms) from overheating. The FR-SG and FR-BG axial fans have been designed specifically for these applications, ensuring stable operation of the installation regardless of external conditions.

A safe indoor climate — supporting production processes and staff working conditions

Adequate ventilation maintains an indoor climate that supports production processes and safe working conditions for personnel, particularly in facilities with elevated dust, fume or heat emissions. It is also a mandatory requirement for many livestock buildings and food processing facilities, where air quality has a direct impact on the operation of the plant.

FAQ

For effective ventilation of large-volume buildings, our high-capacity FR-BS wall-mounted axial fan — also available with an EC motor for greater efficiency — or the proven STORM roof fan are the best choices. STORM PRO EC models achieve an airflow of up to 13,800 m³/h. The volume of air a fan can move plays a key role in maintaining optimal circulation throughout the entire building. Effective air exchange improves worker comfort, protects stored goods and supports the reliable operation of sensitive equipment.

When selecting a specific solution, attention should be paid to the mounting method and equipment protection. The STORM PRO EC roof fan features a composite casing that provides exceptional resistance to changing weather conditions. The FR-BS wall-mounted extract fan, by contrast, is made from powder-coated steel. It is installed directly in the building partition, and the external discharge section is best protected with a dedicated gravity shutter, which prevents draughts and stops contaminants from entering the space.

The choice depends on the specific installation and air resistance. An axial industrial fan (e.g. wall-mounted models from the FR-BS series or blowing FR-BG models) is an excellent solution for free air circulation in large spaces such as production halls or warehouses, where the fan is mounted directly in a partition or a dedicated wall opening. The blowing FR-BG and sucking FR-SG models are additionally designed for use with refrigeration units and for cooling plant rooms such as server rooms.

A centrifugal duct fan from the FR-DF series should be chosen when the installation includes ventilation ductwork. These fans provide optimally higher performance at much greater static pressures compared to an equivalent axial fan. Despite pressure losses within the ventilation system, they are able to deliver the required volume of air over long distances. They are most commonly used in warehouses, shops, workshops, bathrooms, kitchens and production spaces.

The Reventon range includes industrial fans in both variants. EC motors offer higher efficiency and lower energy consumption compared to conventional AC induction motors. Our FR-BS EC wall-mounted extract fan allows continuous speed adjustment across the full 0–100% range.

This flexibility and precise control make it possible to match the fan's performance to the actual requirements of the building. The absence of brushes and a commutator in the motor design makes it a maintenance-free, high-quality unit. The advanced construction directly translates into a longer service life, maintaining optimal output with significant energy savings.

Depending on the model, in fans with an AC induction motor the impeller blades are made from powder-coated steel, while in fans with an EC motor the impeller blades are made from polypropylene. In STORM fans, the blades are made from plastic or aluminium.

Safety and effective removal of contaminants and dust are fundamental to protecting the health of workers. By choosing Reventon fans, you receive units with an enhanced IP rating, precisely matched to the requirements of the installation. If the priority is to extract contaminated air directly to the outside, the FR-BS wall-mounted axial fan is the ideal choice.

The FR-BC short cased axial fan, by contrast, is better suited to moving air between spaces — for example in a short, low-resistance duct. Its circular powder-coated steel casing is highly resistant to mechanical damage and corrosion, and the motor carries an IP54 protection rating. This type of industrial fan guarantees reliable performance in the most demanding locations, including those where excess moisture is also a concern.

It should be noted that fans must not be used in corrosive environments (for aluminium, copper or steel) or in locations with high dust concentrations exceeding 0.3 g/m³. Fans must also not be installed in locations where they would be exposed to excessive humidity (relative humidity above 90%).

Absolutely. Proper air circulation is the foundation of animal health and the profitability of livestock operations. Our units perform excellently in hybrid systems combining natural and mechanical ventilation. When designing such an installation, it is important to include automation (responding to seasons and weather conditions) and to size it precisely to the species and size of the herd. Well-designed ventilation is the most cost-effective preventive measure in agriculture.

Yes, our fans are versatile products. We offer, among others, FR-DF fans that are ideally suited to ventilation ductwork and feature a noise level of just 63 to 70 dB. Thanks to these characteristics, their use improves room comfort. Flexible mounting options and the appropriate diameter make these solutions adaptable to the specific requirements of any building, giving the installer a full range of configuration options. Guaranteed reliability is a standard feature (24-month manufacturer's warranty).

Depending on whether the aim is to supply air to a space or to extract it, a fan with the appropriate airflow direction must be selected. If the primary objective is to remove contaminants, moisture or excess heat to the outside, exhaust (pressure) fans are required. The FR-BS industrial wall-mounted fans perform this role excellently.

To achieve circulation or to directly cool overheating industrial equipment (e.g. refrigeration units or server rooms), blowing fans from the FR-BG series or sucking fans from the FR-SG series are the right choice. Although customers looking for temporary solutions sometimes enquire about portable fans, our area of expertise is industrial ventilation. Correctly selecting the direction of airflow guarantees effective control over the microclimate of the entire hall.

For a ventilation system that fully responds to the changing needs of a building, dedicated controls are recommended. Our industrial fans with modern EC motors can be smoothly managed via a potentiometer or an advanced HMI EC controller, which allows connection to a BMS system. AC motor models are controlled using, among other options, HC speed controllers or TRO thyristor controllers (an HMI or HMI SINGLE controller can also be used, but the fan will be locked at a fixed speed). Additionally, when choosing industrial wall-mounted extract fans (e.g. from the FR-BS series), we recommend fitting a dedicated gravity shutter. This increases the safety of the entire ventilation installation by protecting the units from rain and preventing unwanted cold air from flowing back into production halls.

To ensure long, trouble-free fan operation, the following is recommended:

Regular cleaning of the impeller and casing to remove dust and dirt, preferably using a soft cloth or compressed air.

Regular inspection of the electrical installation for damage, and repair or replacement of any faults found.

Regular checking of correct fan operation at all permitted speed stages — unusual noise, metallic resonance, friction sounds, vibration, etc. — are all indicators of abnormal operation.

Fan inspection and maintenance should be carried out by a user familiar with the unit's documentation or by an external party if, due to the mounting method or local regulations, additional qualifications are required — e.g. for electrical work or work at height.
