Destratification fan TORNADO
The TORNADO industrial destratification fan is an efficient device for recirculating warm air in high-ceiling facilities, such as production halls, warehouses, and logistics centers. Equipped with a 1-speed AC induction motor and a powder-coated steel construction, it directs accumulated heat from under the ceiling back down to the human-occupied zone.
What are the benefits of the TORNADO destratifier?
High performance and a vertical range of up to 15 m
TORNADO offers an airflow efficiency reaching 10,200 m³/h, which translates into a vertical stream range of up to 15 m. In practice, this means effective recovery of accumulated heat even in facilities with the highest ceilings, where standard destratification fans lose effectiveness. Six available sizes allow you to precisely match the efficiency to the facility’s volume without oversizing for smaller halls and without capacity limitations in the largest facilities.
Proven AC motor and simple operation
Reliable technology with predictable performance
The device is powered by a 1-speed AC induction motor with an IP54 protection rating — a proven, maintenance-free technology that has been driving the industry for years. Control is provided via a manual thermostat, speed regulator, or an HMI SINGLE BMS programmable controller, depending on the scale of the installation and facility requirements. The lack of complex electronics translates into lower purchase costs and simpler diagnostics during maintenance.
Installation-ready construction
Integrated mounting holes and ceiling rod suspension
The cylindrical casing, rotor, and diffuser are made entirely of powder-coated steel, ensuring resistance to dust, moisture, and accidental mechanical impacts typical of warehouse conditions. Mounting holes integrated into the casing allow for direct suspension of the device on ceiling rods, without the need for additional brackets. The construction is also compatible with a Z-type shock absorber hanger, which reduces vibrations transmitted to the ceiling.

To select the right industrial destratifier, three parameters must be considered: room volume, ceiling height and the planned number of units running in parallel. TORNADO is available in six sizes (XS1–XS6) — smaller sizes (XS1, XS2) are suitable for ceilings of 6–8 m, medium sizes (XS3, XS4) for facilities with 9–11 m ceilings, and the largest (XS5, XS6) for halls with 12–15 m ceilings and significant volumes. For reliable selection, we recommend a technical consultation that also takes into account the facility layout and heat source locations.
In industrial facilities where the destratifier operates seasonally and continuously, simplicity and reliability are usually more important than precise control. A design without advanced electronics also minimises energy losses associated with control systems. If variable speed is nevertheless required, TORNADO can be equipped with an external HC speed controller or TRO thyristor controller, selected according to the power of the specific unit size.
For typical installations, a manual thermostat HC is sufficient — it automatically switches the unit on when the set ceiling temperature is exceeded and switches it off once the heat distribution has been effectively equalised. If speed control is required (e.g. to reduce noise in air circulation maintenance mode), select an HC or TRO controller appropriate to the power of the specific TORNADO size. For larger installations with several units running in parallel, the programmable HMI SINGLE BMS controller is the best solution.
The powder-coated steel housing is resistant to moisture and settling dust, but the IP54-rated motor is not designed for direct high-pressure water jets. In typical industrial conditions, periodic cleaning of the blades and housing from dust deposits is recommended, without using high-pressure washers. In facilities with extreme dust levels or a requirement for regular pressure washing, alternative technical solutions should be considered — our support team will assist in selecting the appropriate unit.
Weight and dimensions differ significantly between sizes — from 8 kg and diameter 424 mm for XS1 to 24.5 kg and diameter 705 mm for XS6. Detailed data for each size are in the "Models and parameters" table above. When selecting, it is worth considering the load capacity of the ceiling on which the unit will be mounted — particularly for the largest sizes.
Noise level increases with unit size, ranging from 52 dB (XS1) to 62 dB (XS6) at full speed. In facilities with high ceilings, the noise level perceived in the working zone is significantly lower due to the distance from the sound source. If quieter operation is required, an external speed controller can be used to reduce motor speed to the level sufficient to maintain the set temperature and eliminate the thermal gradient in the facility.
TORNADO is not connected directly to a heat source. The primary function of the destratifier is not to generate heat but to redistribute it within the facility — returning warm air from the ceiling back to the occupied zone. The unit works indirectly with any heating system, including those powered by heat pumps. Regardless of the heat source, the result is effective facility heating with reduced losses through the roof, translating into real savings in heating costs.
The single-stage AC induction motor is a maintenance-free design in typical operating conditions — it requires no lubrication or adjustment. Periodic cleaning of the impeller blades and housing from dust deposits is recommended, which maintains nominal airflow. Due to the unit being installed at height, it is advisable to plan maintenance work in conjunction with other servicing tasks in the facility.
