HRV& ERV VERTIC Series
VERTIC series heat recovery units are vertical ventilation units designed for facilities where installation space is limited. The devices provide mechanical ventilation with heat recovery or both heat and moisture recovery. They are suitable for homes, commercial premises, small halls, warehouses and other facilities, especially where standard ceiling installation is technically difficult or impossible.
VERTIC heat exchanger
Within the series, we offer one VERTIC heat exchanger, available in several sizes and two configuration options, tailored to the needs of a specific facility.
VERTIC
A vertical air handling unit with heat recovery, available in several sizes and designed for indoor installation. Depending on the configuration, it can be equipped with a standard counter-flow or enthalpy heat exchanger, which additionally enables partial moisture recovery from the exhaust air.

Why choose
the VERTIC heat exchanger series?
Airflow capacity tailored to small and medium cubatures, from 80 m³/h to 500 m³/h, allows selecting the unit for houses, commercial premises, and small commercial facilities.
Maximum heat recovery efficiency up to 90% and moisture recovery up to 78% (depending on the selected heat exchanger) translates directly into lower heating costs during the winter season.
Vertical design enables flexible installation directly on the floor, on the wall, or even in tight built-in spaces (e.g., above a washing machine or in a cupboard under the stairs), where standard ceiling mounting is not possible.
Energy-efficient EC fans with 4 programmable stages and an additional BOOST stage allow for precise adaptation of the unit’s operation to the conditions of the facility.
Trouble-free filter replacement and access for cleaning the heat exchanger only require removing the front cover of the housing, which shortens maintenance time.

Choosing the exchanger
Counter-flow polystyrene heat exchanger
A standard configuration with the highest heat recovery efficiency in the series (up to 90%). Recommended for facilities where maximum heat energy recovery in winter is the priority, and air humidity does not require active regulation.
Counter-flow enthalpic heat exchanger
Made of polyethylene with a graphene layer. In addition to heat recovery (up to 83%), it allows for moisture recovery (up to 78%), which limits the problem of dry air during the heating season. Recommended in residential buildings and wherever maintaining the proper level of air humidity is essential for user comfort.
What do you gain with the VERTIC heat exchanger series?
Maximum use of space — vertical design for challenging installations
Attic conversions, finished ceilings, or limited technical spaces do not always allow for the use of a classic heat exchanger. The VERTIC air handling unit solves this problem thanks to its vertical design, which enables installation in places that are difficult for standard units to utilize, such as above a washing machine, on a wall, or built into a cupboard under the stairs.
Simple and convenient installation — spigots with standard diameters and control panels included
The plastic spigots have diameters adapted to popular ventilation ducts, making it easy to integrate the unit into the system. Two built-in control panels — the front panel and the internal advanced panel — simplify basic operation and configuration of the fan operating parameters for installers.
System protection in winter — built-in defrost mode and compatibility with a pre-heater
The VERTIC series features a built-in defrost mode that supports unit operation at low temperatures. In severe frosts, we recommend using an electric duct heater, especially when the outdoor temperature drops to around -9 or -10°C or below. Pre-heating the air before it enters the heat exchanger reduces the risk of the core freezing and helps maintain stable, efficient operation of the heat exchanger in winter.
FAQ
The VERTIC heat recovery unit can be installed in a standing position within rooms, provided that condensate drainage is possible, on a wall (low down or, for example, above a washing machine), or in built-in furniture (in a kitchen, bathroom, or basement). However, you must maintain the required service access, ensure proper condensate drainage, and meet the operating condition requirements, including protection against excessive humidity, dust, and water beyond the permissible IP rating of the ventilation unit.
The type of exchanger in a ventilation unit does not affect electricity consumption. However, clear energy savings can be observed in winter. Building heating costs can be lower thanks to effective heat recovery. Heat recovery in summer works differently. The heat recovery unit's automation triggers a bypass so that the supply air bypasses the heat exchanger, preventing the room from heating up.
A duct heater, also known as a pre-heater, features a temperature sensor that can be adjusted as needed. The sensor will automatically turn the duct heater on and off once the set temperature is crossed. It is recommended that the duct heater turns on below an outdoor temperature reading of -9°C to avoid freezing the enthalpic exchanger and to support heat recovery in the rooms.
VERTIC series heat recovery units with a classic counter-flow exchanger require the connection of a condensate drain. Conversely, VERTIC ENTHALPY models, equipped with an enthalpic exchanger, do not require the installation of condensate drainage. In this case, both openings located in the lower part of the unit should be plugged according to the installation manual.
VERTIC heat recovery units are defaultly equipped with a standard counter-flow exchanger allowing for heat recovery. An ENTHALPY version is also available with a counter-flow exchanger allowing for both heat and moisture recovery.
Yes, an additional Wi-Fi module can be installed in VERTIC heat recovery units.
Yes, heat recovery is one of the most effective solutions to improve the quality of life for allergy sufferers. Traditional home airing through open windows lets not only dust inside, but also troublesome plant pollen, fungal spores, or smog. In a mechanical ventilation system, the entire stream of supply air is constantly filtered. The ventilation unit can be equipped with highly accurate F7 or F9 class supply filters (available as an option in, among others, the INSPIRO and VERTIC series). They stop the majority of micro-pollutants, including suspended dust (PM2.5, PM10) and troublesome allergens, creating a safe zone in the house with clean and healthy air throughout the year. What's more, heat recovery effectively removes excess moisture, which prevents the formation of mold and fungi in rooms.
